I just put it together last night.  I haven’t sighted it in yet.  F marked front sight post but I haven’t had too much trouble getting A2s dialed in the past without the correct front sight post.  Hopefully this won’t be too difficult to get a good group at 50.

I've had an Ek Knife like that for decades.  Could never bring myself to carry it in the field though.

Just a WIP 723 build that I've been working on. Want to grab an M16A2-marked lower and make a couple more changes, but I think that I'm going to end up turning it into a 733 instead.

Carried that M3 double wasped blade for decades in the field.  Not a field knife but pure fighting blade which never needed for intended purpose.

Latest build. Debating whether I want to do a collar and OCM5 on it or not because I love it so much as is.

Yes it is. It just has my last name on it. It was made during my long Military career. Don't remember what for. With that being said thought I would get some use out of it.

That’s a pretty cool idea, similar to how we used to mark spare barrels for M249s and M240s. Never thought about it for other rifles.

Yes. And I’ve since swapped it to a Smith Enterprise rail instead of the pot metal rail in the photo.

Been awhile since I've built this.  Needs to be disassembled and rebuilt into a proper A2.

My recent build.
Colt SoCom barrel p/w with extended a2
Colt Carbine CR lower
Brownells Retro Non Serrated BCG
Colt furniture
Flat slip ring (what a bitch...)
DPMS stripped upper that needed a lot of "fitment".
Pretty happy with the finish/color of the Luth-AR a1 rear sight hardware as well as the Brownells retro dust cover.
This is to be my basic bitch.
Some newer stuff, some older styled stuff...
My rendition of If I was allowed in the Colt factory, and allowed to build one to my specs.  Would be something like this.
