Has Ron stopped making the M4 to AEM5 collars? That’s all you need to run on 6920 or SOCOM

The thing that sucks is a carbine gas match grade barrel is impossible to find.
If it were mid length this would be much much cheaper. |

View Quote I'd go FN or Colt M4/SOCOM type barrel with a M4 to AEM5 adapter and call it a day. I bet it will still shoot very well without going over the top. You have other rigs that are really designed to squeeze the accuracy out. I'm afraid if you ever decided to change gears on the project you will lose your ass on that barrel. Meanwhile a Colt/FN will be worth the same if not more on the used market. I don't like to make purchases based off "resale" scenarios but it's part of this game. Hell, that's why I bought the Mk11 kit is I figured I could easily get my money out if I didn't want it. ETA: But man if you want to roll a high end barrel for the project then go for it. Don't let me tell you otherwise. |

I'm not advocating retardation, but would be cool to see someone trim the MRE 0.6" for a flush AEM5 fit on a 14.5".
Edit: filler tube screw wouldn't allow for it. Nevermind. |

All you GWOT guys who are into old school Surefire check out the tailcap mod I just posted. Been hiding this one but had a few people ask me so decided to make a small diy.
Gets rid of your shitty 660 build in tapeswitch cap. Figured some Gothic Serpent-ish guys would dig this. https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Surefire-660-6P-Secret-Tailcap-Mod/20-752340/ |

Went out this morning and shot four 1 moa groups in a row with the current barrel, I think one group snuck under moa. I have to measure. That pretty much solidifies my decision to back off the custom barrel idea. I don't want/need more than moa. BTW, the bootleg is dope. I ran it full suppressed w/ an H2 buffer. Locked back on m193, Outback 69gr, and mk262. |

I noticed I worried some of you by dumping gear lol
I took apart my redundant mod 1 and mini Holland. Bought a 14.5 socom and ris fsp. Going to throw the x24 on it. Thinking of doing a 10.3 with FF Ras too. |

I’ve literally embarrassed dudes at the range with an old bushy hbar 1/9. One dude in ga was running a $2k plus production AR that will remain nameless and was pulling 2moa. I think my worst group of the day was 1.1moa |

I'm spending something similar on my project Marvin Pitts is doing for me. Have you talked to him about options? |

Need some help. What would be the approximate rail length for a flush fit AEM5 with a 16" barrel?

The non FSP will most likely get a 1-6 but I had this Nikon lying around so I figured I’d throw it on to see how the Remington SOCOM barrel shoots.

I am debating if I want to build a block 1 with the sfct as it would allow a birdcage like appearance while still allowing a sf can when I get one. |
