14.5" is always an option as well. Jason Freiwald's is the only one I've found definitively, but I'm sure there were more.

One of these years they will not make them at all, and this next run may be the last, we don’t know, but look how many items aren’t longer available by companies still manufacturing parts. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not going to hold my breath or be all upset if it does or doesn’t happen either. They certainly did a run of FF RAS MRE last year which many said would never happen. I've personally spoke with them twice. Both times I was told the same thing. |

While every barrel is unique, if you want or need the accuracy, its the real deal, as in not merely sub MOA, but sub 1/2 MOA capable, if you and the ammo are. I'm not into clone-correct and will not clutter this thread with the other specs on my "modern recce-type". I'll merely say that it was built for precision, totally around that barrel. Lilja makes these in very small batches, built to competition bench rest quality. Lilja guarantees the uniformity of his barrels to one ten thousandths of an inch. Think about that: No more than .0001" variation from leade to muzzle. These barrels will test you, your ammo and every other aspect of the build. I make handloads with Lapua Match cases, Berger target bullets, match primers, hand-weighed powder charges and bench rest prep. I believe that my best ammo (1/4 MOA) from a true fixed machine rest (eliminating me), is still the limiting factor. Indeed, its a laser beam barrel. |
