The sig m400 magpul edition is my primary AR15. I haven't heard very much talk about them on the forums. I have about 2,000 down my rifle. Anyone else own one?

It was my first rifle. It’s been a host to a number of different uppers. More than I care to admit. One of my favorite lowers thanks to the captured spring retention detent.

Bought one of the early ones and it has run like a champ. Shoots any ammo (haven't tried steel) and very accurate. Some nice features also for a basic rifle. Would definitely buy again. Seems as solid as my two Armalites, DEF15 and AR-10A
Did replace the trigger with the SSA then again with a SSA-E

That is awesome! How many rounds do you have through your rifle?

Did your sig upper cause any issue?

Picked up one about a month ago for 5 Bens from a friend of my son.  Mine has the FDE furniture on it, and thinking of swapping it for urban gray.  It will chew up anything I feed it(no Tulammo.....no way....seen too many blow ups from it), and beg for more.  Only thing I don't like is the Magpul stock rattles like a maraca, and some design engineer thought it would be a good idea to put a polymer sight on the GB.  My Vortex Strikefire II rides on it right now.

What’s the future of the M400?  They aren’t on the sig sight except for the specialty editions.  Wish I had one of the Walmart ones.

I bought a FDE M400 carbine about 5 years ago, shot great but now it's a 18" DMR rifle, the only thing that's Sig on it anymore is the upper, lower and BCG

One feature that the Sig M400 rifles have that is often overlooked is the extractor support post in the barrel extension. It provides positive support during the initial phase of bolt rotation. IMO it's an improvement for one of the weak points of the AR design, the extractor.

My M400 has been perfect.

M-400 owner.  Out of all the AR-15s, AR-10s, AKs & Shotguns...

If I could only grab ONE gun, that is the one...

Love it.  Been a 100% shooter, light easy to carry.  accurate for a 16" non-free float carbine.

Nice! I always liked an A2 length stock.

I have heard mixed things about the extractor support post. Never had any issues with mine, but I heard some peoples can break and cause malfunctions.

I like Sig's. I just believe this was a degrade. Not an upgrade.
