I want to build a mk12, I have an older sp1 lower and A1 stock. Would the be correct for an early mk12?

It would IMO. Since all MK12's used M16A1 lowers, that is the only "correct" option. Anything else is not 100% clone correct.

I guess the question is why not use the SP1 lower for an SP1 and get an NDS A1 lower for your mk 12?

Other question is how much of a pain in the ass will dropping a bcm mk12 upper on colt sp1 lower be? I know I need to get different pins, but how much trouble with the shelf be?
