I have 3 triggers ready to install

1 LaRue MBT
2 Geissele SSA-E
3 POF EFP2

Out of the three options below which would you install on which gun?

1 10.5" AR-15 set up for CQB
2 16" AR-15 carbine for distances up to 100 yards
3 16" AR-10 carbine for distances of 100+ yards

1. 10.5" leave as milspec
2. Geissele up to 100yards since it also can be for defense
3. MBT

This was intended to be posted in the GD. My apologies!

So, you would rather keep the milspec trigger over the POF, why?

I'd put the SSA-E on the long range 16" AR 10. That is because its second stage is only 1.2 pounds.  I run that trigger on my precision build with 16" Lilja Recce profile barrel.  The rig is 1/2 MOA capable when I get my breathing right.

The POF is a single stage 4 pound.  That would work on the 16" 100 yard rifle.

The MBT with heavy spring on the CQB.

The last two could possibly be swapped, but the SSA-E with that light, super crisp second stage should go on your most accurate longer range rifle.

Love my ssa-e but the Mbt is a very attractive trigger and ar it's price point would be my choice.

POF in the 10.5, SSA-E in the 16" AR15, and the MBT in the AR10.

I recently pulled my MBT from my SBR to put it into a build I put together for varmints wearing a 2.5-10 Vortex. Really made me realize how even the nicer enhanced/coated/polished triggers suck compared to a nice 2 stage.

For a 10.5" CQB that is probably used at 50yards and in, a milspec trigger has the advantage of safety and reliability. You certainly wont see any appreciable difference with a lighter trigger. Reason being you aren't using it from a support, you wont be controlling your breathing and trigger properly, and you wont be firing at a slow rate.

If you're making a target gun to shoot groups, then absolutely get an aftermarket trigger of any make you like. If you're a precision shooter, you already know what you need.
When you're talking self defense distance keep the milspec.

Like MS556 I would put the SSA-E on the 10 for long range precision.

I would put the POF on the SBR for the shorter reset.

MBT is a great all purpose trigger and I would put it on the 16" gun.
