Hi all,

I have a 16" barreled 6920 but only have access to a 25 yard range. Using M855, what should my impact point be for an equivalent 50 yard zero?

Thanks!

I believe this to be true, but am not 100% certain:

at 25yds, aim 1.5" below the bullseye and you will be on the bullseye at 50yds

This may help some.

Various Bullet Zero and Trajectories

There also was a thread where you could print out a target that had a 25 yard POA and it had a subdued circle that would be where your POI would be at 50 yards.

ETA: Looks like dleary13115 was correct. You should be roughly at 1.5" based on Molon's chart with M855 out of a 16" barrel.

Sights or optic? You can do what they said with an optic, like a dot sight, but with the irons, if you do that without modifying the rear sight, your ranges will no longer be indexed. Look up the 'Improved Battlesight Zero' to see what easy changes you need to do to keep your rear sight functional. Or, zero at 25 yards according to the directions with the rifle or the military manuals.
