Hi all,

I just got a Timney 3# AR trigger through the EE. It had been recently re-adjusted and thread locked by Timney. I dropped it in my G2 DPMS, and the trigger feels like garbage. I was expecting a pretty crisp, clean release. Instead, it's got a few millimeters of creep and a super vague break. Not really any better than the stock setup I'd stoned and polished. Maybe a little lighter, but certainly no more crisp.
I've read lots of positive things about these triggers, so I can only assume mine is in need of some adjustment love. Anyone have the skinny on adjusting these triggers?

I've never adjusted mine.  Never seen instructions on how to do it.  Per Timney, they're set at the factory.

Mines very nice and its had quite a round count.  I'd send it back if it isn't crisp and light.

What he said....I have the 4.5lb ones in 3 rifles.

Yeah, I mean I guess that's the problem. It JUST came back from Timney (they even re-packaged it). It's definitely subpar. I'd rather just adjust it myself if I don't have to send it all the way back and forth again.

This. I have a 3# in one of my rifles. Set by Timney. Breaks like the proverbial "glass rod" at 2.8lbs. No creep. Give them a call. Maybe they will help. All they can say is no.

Sad to hear. I have run several timney triggers and they last forever (knocks on wood) and even my high round count ones break like glass the same way they did on day one.

I almost bought the one you are speaking about. I thought it was a smoking deal and I thought it was factory rebuilt so I thought it should be like new also.
