I know this has probably been discussed about 3 million times around here, but with my limited search capabilities, I thought I would ask again. If anyone has some links to other threads around here, that would be great.

I have a new build that I have just completed using a Geissele SSA in a Spike's lower, and the trigger pin (hammer pin actually) has creeped out from the side of the lower on me a couple of times, and needed to be tapped back in. What are the solutions for this? I see things like the KNS Anti-Rotation pins, but will that keep the pins from creeping out?

Suggestions? Links to already discussed topics?

Thanks in advance.

I think Geissele had different size pins himself.
Check ALG Defense site?
Call him direct for fix?

If they are coming out ever then it means you did not install the springs correctly

I'm not familiar with the SSA per se, but I'm assuming it uses a J-spring inside the hammer to capture the pin?

If the spring inside has sufficient tension and the notch in the pin itself is deep enough it should stay put.

KNS pins are kind of a polarizing topic here on the forums.

I personally like them.  KNS does make a G trigger specific set of pins called the "Gen G" on their site.  I use and like them.  They do work.

Double check your parts and install first.  Then see what G says.

Yep. You can ad the KNS pins, but they won't fix the root cause. Your rifle is still assembled wrong.

If your hammer pin is walking check your J spring.

I have checked the assembly, and the gun fires fine (I have about 300 rounds through it now without issues). I will check again... but would the gun fire fine if the spring(s) were in backwards?

yes

if its the hammer pin, make sure the j spring is in there correctly

Double check that the parts were all installed according to the Geissele instructions.  Their hammer DOES have a J spring, so if the hammer is moving, you either had an issue with the installation, or the spring is not working right.
