I've had this upper for years. Served me well. Its a factory Noveske that I ordered back when John was still alive.

I'll never sell it but it has some drawbacks. Its heavy, and fat.

I want to shave off all the unused picatinny rails with the exception of the top one.

Anyone every done this? Is it feasible? Will it compromise the rail strength?

And I need a slip on rubber pad, I'm tired of the stock slipping off my shoulder. Anyone know where I can grab one that'll work.

If it has some sort of sentimental value, build a new upper and get something like an ALG EMR.

And a quick search of Vltor imod butt pad brought up immediate results.

I could be wrong but that may not be the IMOD.

Looks like it may be the earlier "MODSTOCK".  I'm not sure if that matters or not.

It isn't an IMOD. Its one of the first generations, can't remember what they called it back then.

It's called a Modstock. First result. Says discontinued, but looks like you can add to cart and checkout.
