In light of the recent events and the political climate, I hastened my build schedule to finish off some projects.  Here is what I am calling my chainsaw build.  It was built to be a shooter and a SHTF gun.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out.  I think I am going to finish it off with a Meprolight RDS.

Anyway, this is how everything for this build finally played out.

-  Noveske Chainsaw stripped lower
-  Ruger 2 stage trigger

-  Rainier Arms trigger guard

-  Strike Industries 7 position buffer tube, Lanco tactical QD endplate, Spikes T2 buffer

-  Magpul SL grip and Magpul STR mil spec stock

-  Noveske takedown pins

-  All other parts mil spec

-  Noveske Chainsaw stripped upper
-  Noveske Chainsaw gunfighter charging handle

-  Noveske 14.5" CHF barrel with FSP and headspaced bolt & BCG

-  Pinned Silencerco Saker FH

-  Centurion C4 rail, midlength cutout

Nice... I have a chainsaw Gen 2 Noveske lower that's been in the since they first hit the market a few years ago and have yet to decide what direction I want to go with...

Very pretty, but can it fight?

Sorry, shameless "Dirty Dozen" reference.

Seriously, it looks like you put a lot of thought into it. It should serve you very well. Any plans for a sling?

It's been a while since I had my Noveske N4 so forgive the possibly dumb question but what makes it a "chainsaw" upper or lower? The low pretty standard.

Nice rifle BTW.

They are just Blem parts.  Noveske knocks a few bucks off them and puts a laser logo of a chainsaw on them.  For the life of me, though, I can't find the blem on most of the parts.

Cool, good to know.

No problem.  I don't have any issues with the chainsaw parts, especially because as soon as I take it to the range its going to get banged up anyway.

Nice..
I got a Meprolight RDS last month for $300 shipped.
Like it; large field of view, bright 1.8 MOA dot.
Instant "on" after sitting. Simple and rugged.

Yes, I already have another Meprolight RDS.  It really is a great red dot regardless of the price.  It has better features than an EOTech 512 for over $100 less.
