Reading earlier about accurizing an AR-15. What all can be done to accurize an AR platform?

An excellent barrel and trigger are the biggest benefit from my own experience.
Krieger barrel + skeletonized Timney trigger is what I prefer. Larue barrels are also amazingly accurate. Reloading will make your groups more consistently accurate. Other options included squaring the receiver. (I've never done it, so I do not know how beneficial this is) |

Are we talking about something like a base M4 as the platform or...?
1. User mod. Go to the range more. 2. Better ammo. 3. Better trigger. 4. Make sure you are comfortable with the contact points, i.e. the stock, grip, handguard, etc. 5. Free-float the barrel. 6. New barrel that was made to be accurate. Honestly, steps 1-5 should get you close to 1MOA with a barrel made by a reputable company. I generally don't concern myself with MOA though, I prefer MODMF (minute of dead mother fucker)... i.e. practical accuracy. |
