I'm piecing together an AR from my leftover parts. I needed a BCG and found a deal on a new take off the guy was claiming came from a Remington. Staking was ok so I bought it at a cheap price. I get home and compared it to my other BCGs and its identical to one I have from a DPMS. The question is..are BCGs in most low line ARs the same? Or is this a DPMS BCG?

No big deal just curious.

I am no expert, but I think dpms bcgs have a D stamped on them. Also now (I'm pretty sure) Remington, bushmaster and dpms are all owned by the same company, so wouldn't surprise me if they are the same.
I've use many dpms bcgs without any problems at all. (Probably from the old dpms though)

yep. Also there are really only a handful of "manufacturers" of BGC's, uppers, lowers, etc. Most companies just purchase from them then add their own mark (if even that) so the chances of them being the same are quite likely.

A bolt carrier group should be well made, in-spec, and properly assembled.  It's not impossible to screw that up, but if yours looks like a DPMS, then you have a decent BCG.  Nothing to complain about with one of those.
