I built this one to by a sort of "all purpose" rifle, meaning that it can be used for hunting, defense, competition, shtf, etc. It's pretty generic IMO, but it's a great shooter.

Parts:
BCM BFH upper (16" mid-length)
BCM KMR alpha handguard
BCM BCG
BCM Compensator
Radical Firearms lpk
DPMS lower
Vortex Strike Eagle

The BCG and comp came free with a BCM deal, pretty sweet if you ask me.  The comp mitigates nearly all of the muzzle climb and recoil, but the tradeoff is the sound.  Standing next to someone shooting this is incredibly unpleasant.

I've decided to swap the lower out for a complete BCM lower, because this dpms lower is meh.  I still need to add a light, so feel free to make some suggestions (something tan/goldish to change up the color scheme).  Someday I may put a geisselle SDC trigger in, but perhaps not if I end up liking the BCM trigger.

If you are considering buying a strike eagle, just get it.  Excellent glass for the price, and the warranty is second to none.

If you only have one the "AP" is the best one to have. And even better if it shoots and keeps shooting with accuracy that is all that is needed.

You need some angled iron sights, mofo.  Also, for the light, the X300U is awesome and it come in tan.

I would rather have one all purpose rifle that I know inside and out and shoot very well then a ton of rifles that I shoot once and awhile. I think a lot of people would be served better by having one or two ARs with a nice ammo fort and kitted out pretty well then 20 Ars with crap optics and cheap components
