| What buffer is Colt shipping with these? I was looking at a complete lower (new), and it had a standard carbine buffer with it. |

Colt ships the H as standard now (although Ithink they may have shipped the 6920 SOCOM with the H2 buffer). Colt lists the standard carbine buffer as obsolete.
I'd have to check, but I think the H has been standard in the 6920 since at least as far back as 2010. Unless msybe it's "new old stock", it shouldn't have a standard carbine buffer. ETA: In this thread, member StripperClips said that he bought a 6920 in the spring of 1999 and it came with a H buffer: https://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=2&f=29&t=239697 |

I'm guessing it's current stock since it has a QR code on it, but then again I don't know how long they've been using them. It's got a flat hammer that I haven't seen before. As you can guess, I don't keep up much. The one you're looking at with a flat low-mass match hammer (nickle finished) are taken from Expanse M4 carbines, they all have the standard carbine buffer without the H markings. Another component that are different are the selector have a shorter lever, not reversible, and have a indicator line at the right side. The mag catch are also different, it doesn't have that round head protrusion at the rear end of the mag catch, they are just smooth on the Expanse same as some of the Colt Competition rifle models (made in TX). |
