This past DEC I got a BCM lower.  It has the older style standard mil spec trigger and not their new PNT trigger.  Is it worth getting the PNT to replace the one that is in there now?

Be more worth it to buy a LaRue MBT for $125.  Or replace your springs with JP yellow/red or yellow/yellow.

The PNT is a lot like the ALG ACT and QMS triggers. IMO they're worth it considering you can get 2 of the BCM triggers for the price of 1 larue. The coating on the BCM is similar to the ACT and it's about $10 cheaper.

$60 vs 125 vs 240 a very large disparity in prices.  Not a huge benefit or difference between the SSA-E and MBT (with lighter spring) and yes I have shot both side by side and with an SSA, G2S, and RRA NM trigger.

IMO it depends on how the mil-spec trigger feels. They vary. I had an ACT once and dumped it on the EE since it didn't feel any different from my CMMG mil-spec.

The SSA however...but that's a different ballgame.

Lot of truth to that statement I have had mil-style triggers that were like crappy crunchy and heavy and then I have had some that were smooth but still heavy.  I always add to them a JP yellow/red spring kit and it gets the trigger pull down to 4.5-5.5#.  My current setup till my MBT ships is a Spikes NiB trigger with the JP yellow/red and it comes in right at 4-4.5# and has smoothed out even more since I have a few thousands of rounds on it.

My personal opinion, the improved mil-spec triggers like the ACT and PNT are decent for a cheap trigger for a build, or if you buy a lower/LPK that already includes one.  But if you're going to replace an existing trigger I'd pay $20-$30 more for something like the Hipertouch EDT or Trident 4 lb trigger that gives you a lighter pull while maintaining full power hammer strikes.  The ACT/PNT are smooth but not much lighter than a standard trigger.  Unless you use the reduced power springs which can cause light strikes.

$240 is probably the high end of the price spectrum on the SSA-E. As far as the difference that is your subjective experience.

Have you tried the MBT yet? I've got several now. I've also got a Geissele S2S, SD-C and High Speed Match. The only one I would spend the extra on is the High Speed match, and that's mainly for the 4ms lock time.
