| thanks for the video, i have had the top piece out of the delta ring but it wont pull back or lift up any further. i do have the tool as well, even tried hitting it back towards the receiver with a rubber mallet the damn thing will not turn lose, i even tried a screw driver and i cannot pry any harder with out damage |

One half at a time, pull the Delta ring side out first, then the front.(while holding back the Delta ring- you shouldn't be turning anything) After watching plouf's review of these, you probably don't have a swivel under these specific handguards-, looks like it needs to be removed. So either get a set of the normal old Moe's and get a new front sight post swivel, or the easier method just get a magpul sling attachment for that rail. Quoted:

Yah , thanks I had a hard time getting my off too what I did was put the stock to the ground pull back on the delta ring and had another person pull it apart |

Yah , thanks I had a hard time getting my off too what I did was put the stock to the ground pull back on the delta ring and had another person pull it apart This. Mine was so tight it took two of us to get it apart the first time. Got it off and then lubed the delta ring with a few drops of oil. Worked it for a few minutes to get it to loosen up and after that I never had an issue. It's still tight but I don't need a tool or a neighbor to get it to move now. |
