So, I am doing a build and need a little more length on the muzzle brake compared to the rail. I know they make a muzzle brake "alignment" washers that is flat.

However, are they just making another something to sell for one?

And two is there anything against stacking crush washers (one right top of the other to be exact)?

Just wondering what you all have done or your thoughts thanks!

How much length do you need? And, how many are you planning on stacking?
There are other options, such as a shim that may be a better alternative.
No suppressor right?

I would not stack crush washers, thats nearly 1/4".

I guess I'm missing the point, are you trying to get it past the rail to be farther out, or are you trying to get it farther out to attach a can? If the later DO NOT do that.

eta use peel washers if you need the first option

You can use a jam nut as well to get a little more length. I would use on of these and a peel washer over stacking crush washers on top of each other.

To my mind there isn't enough real estate on the threaded portion of the barrel that you can gain enough to fix your problem, although I guess that depends how close your current muzzle brake is to clearing the rail.

A better bet would be to use a different muzzle device that had some length before any ports.

A linear comp or something similar perhaps.

Get a set of shims and use them instead.

You need a better solution to your build

Particularly if it's a muzzle device that needs to be timed, using more than one crush washer would not be my recommendation.

Even using a single crush washer, they're recommended against for suppressor use because they don't always "crush" consistently.  Using two would only exacerbate this possible problem.

For money you'll spend and the permanence of having a pinned muzzle device, you're better off biting the bullet for a shim/spacer/jam nut and doing it right, rather than trying to stack crush washers.

At very least, if you insist on stacking parts, as someone else has already suggested, I would do it with peel washers.

I've done it before on an unusually long threaded portion of an SBR barrel in order to get my brake to time properly (suppressor mount) with no issues.
If you know how to check for concentricity afterwards, go for it.

So are you saying use only the peel washers or in conjunction with the crush washer. And no suppressor, just needing that extra 8th of an inch to meet the end of the rail. Thanks.

I have the jam nut from Amazon (it comes in a two-pack) and it's really very nicely made.  I needed the jam nut instead of a spacer because I had to time my muzzle device - that's the biggest difference.
