[ARCHIVED THREAD] - US Contractor Barrel question

Recently, I built an AR 15. I am very happy with the way it came out, but I have a question about the barrel.

I ordered the barrel from Classic Firearms. Its a 16" fluted heavy barrel with a carbine length gas part. 1 in 8 twist, chambered in 223 wylde.

Classic Firearms had the manufacturer listed as "US Contractor".

I am wondering if anyone knows who that manufacturer may be?????

The barrel seems to be high quality, well made, and very accurate. But Im just kinda stumped on the manufacturer.....

I did do a Google search, and came up with no definitive answers.....

It could be absolutely anybody with a vague description like that. They don't even say that it was a "US government contractor."

I've used more of those barrels than I can count, all very good, no problems.
I'm almost certain they are made by Bear Creek Arsenal. Classic is carrying a lot of BCA products and I think the description was a copy and paste from BCAs web sight.
