I building a new rifle.
And I want to do right! And I am not sure which BCG I should go with.. The barrel with be a 8.5" Noveske with a suppressor. It will be the Innovative Arms Grunt Mini. It is 5" long http://www.lantac-usa.com/AR15-M16-M4-Rifle-Accessories/556NIB.html http://www.gem-tech.com/store/pc/GEMTECH-5-56-Suppressed-Bolt-Carrier-p1149.htm Both of these are new, so I can not find a lot of info out there about either of them. Or is there some other BGCs out there I should be considering. My main concerns are gas in my face and dwell time, creating issues with cycling. There is not budget on this. I just want it to work. Work & be the best it can possibly be. |

If it is really between those 2, then I'd suggest Gemtech. There are indeed plenty of other options out there though. You might consider SAI or another high-performance brand as well. I am open to any brand. I looked at the SAI Instead of a titanium coated one Would I be better off considering that is fulling titanium instead of just coated. http://www.stcroixtactical.com/products/sct-titanium-bolt-carrier-group-ar15-m16 Titanium will help with dwell time right? I do not want it short stroking. But how will that work with very SBR that is suppressed?? I am open to anything. |

LMT-E bolt is one of the few bolts that are actually made from better materials and will last through multiple barrels. I normally am pretty happy with AIM, Spikes or PSA BCG's. What's it composition anyways? I never bothered to look it up, just assumed it was carpenter 158 |

I've never heard of one breaking. |

Is longevity its best point? Does it do anything about the gas? I kind of like it. |

The E-bolt has vastly improved life combined with a balanced lobster tail style dual spring extractor. I believe it is probably the best AR15 bolt available that works with a standard barrel extension. The enhanced carrier has an slightly different cam channel and an extra gas port. My understanding is the carrier was designed for overgassed 16" carbine gas systems. I don't think it would have any negative effects on a pistol build and is likely to have some positive effects, especially for a suppressed short barrel setup. |

Some great BCG's mentioned but, why not make it easy and have Noveske send a headspaced bcg? Especially if it is a .300(sorry didn't catch the .cal in your op).
They have done it in the past for me and many others. The bolt and barrel are nothing to go cheap on. |

Of the two you mentioned, I'd grab the gemtech. That's the one I'm grabbing for a new build I'm working on that will be run suppressed most of the time. By the time you upgrade your gas block to an adjustable one there's not that big of price difference. Quoted:

I was thinking one of the Seekins Precision titanium adjustable gas block. Quoted:

It will be 5.56 Does anyone have a link to the LMT model of BCG mentioned above? |

Sounds like LMT-E_Bolt & LMT-Carrier http://www.lmtstore.com/parts/bolts-carriers-and-groups-complete/556-enhanced-fa-bolt-carrier-group.html Might be the best way to go. |
