I have a YHM 5005 forend and would like to add a bipod I just need help with which stud to get.
YHM 9476

Or
YHM 262

Here's the hole the stud goes in. I'm thinking the 9476 is the one.

Won't half your bipod be hanging off the front of the rail with that setup?

^^You know I wasn't even thinking of that. I did some looking and found a YHM bipod adapter that will do the trick.

I use this as it gives the Bi-pod a place to mate and firmly make contact with.

Or you could get the LaRue version if you wanted a quick release lever.

You can always modify the rail to accept a stud. I prefer the lowest profile mount for bipods, and this is definitely it.

Oh I like that Larue. All my mounts are QD have to check that out.

I just recently drilled a hole in my handguard and tapped it to accept a Harris bipod stud. The stud, tap, and tap wrench were about $25 all together. I then used the green, gap-filling Loctite to lock it in place. Very light and low profile and it doubles as a sling attachment point. It seems to be working well so far. To me, the rail mounted bi-pod adapters are all way too bulky and some are quite expensive.

If you don't have a bipod yet LaRue has has some that come with their mount already attached. When I got my Atlas it was cheaper buying the package from them than buying it separately.

We now have bipod adaptors for Picatinny and KeyMod handguards.
