If you have a nickel boron bcg do you need a nickel boron hammer ?

No. Finish does not matter, and you can mix and match as desired.

A NiB hammer sounds like an extreme waste of money to me.

If you look at the coating used on the ALG ACT, you will see that only their trigger is NiB coated. The disconnect and the hammer are Nickel Teflon coated. This is a mil-spec type trigger and with these coating, it is extremely smooth and only has around 5.5lbs-6lbs of pull. Just to have a hammer in NiB is a waste. It is a nice finish, but it is of no real benefit.

Ok thank you mugh because i was worryed that it might degrade my mill spec hammer or "rough it up"
