Hoping someone can help me with my first build I have my lower complete its a PSA lower with magpul furniture and it's time to order a barrel. I want something free floated however I am not sure if I want a pencil, lightweight, or standard barrel? I don't plan on doing any mag dumps can someone please advise and give me some help. Price limit is $700 and I don't have a BCG.

Add a little more and you can get a bcm upper with free bcg. Here is one, they have some light weight models too and some for less money, in your price range. Good stuff man.

+1 on the BCM suggestion. If you go 16", they also offer a free muzzle device. Even without the freebies, they are top-notch uppers.

Yeah BCM is the ideal choice however I won't be able to pull the trigger for another week or two so hopefully that promotion will still be going on. Can anyone give any feedback on cold hammer forged "pencil" barrels? I want something lightweight but don't want to sacrifice accuracy or strength .... Hopefully that's possible. Also as far as free floats go correct me if I am wrong but is "key mod" dead? I feel like since the m lok launch it would be best to go that route? I know it's still to early to tell but I don't think I want full quad rails. I'm decided in that department.
