I have parts to build another upper
But I'm not sure of barrel length, gas length or twist rate

I have two rifles now, a kiss 14.5 pinned middy, and an 11.5" SBR. Both 1/7.

Not looking to add another caliber, 300blk had been a notion but not any more.

I'm leaning towards a precision 18" with glass as I don't have a scoped upper.

The mini Recce thread also caught my interest.

I'll be taking my time on this I'm just looking for some ideas.

Edit for clarity and barrel specifics

You mentioned the MR thread, so since you are an SBR owner, I would like the throw 12.5 in the ring of possible choices.

There are some great choices out there, and lately I have been eyeballing Ballistic Advantage based on member's reviews.  It is between them, and Weapons Outfitter for the 13.7 length.  This will be an SBR, and my first foray into the melonited barrel thing.

I am not sure what you want to do with the rifle, but if it isn't killing anything at 600 meters, a good 12.5 sure is fun.  I love my Crusader more than I ever thought I would.

Interesting
The 11.5" is a BA barrel. I built that upper.

I guess I need to look at MV etc a little more.

But its for fun I'm not looking to drop anybody at 500m

Does any body know how the 13.7" got into the inventory ?

I'm intrigued by rifle length also. I'm trying to remember how my service rifle shot, but that's 20 yrs ago.

The first I heard of was the Noveske offering.  Barrel gurus will be along shortly if you change your title to like "Barrel Input needed"  or something

I haven't put it together yet, but I went with a Rainier Arms, Mountain series 18" MW for my build.  Free floating it, but am only putting a 3X Burris AR-332 scope on it.  I'm going for an all around, do it all gun.
