What length is your front sight going to be? If it is rifle length, you need standard. If carbine or mid, f marked.

"F" stamped FSB's are for removable carry handles.  Non-"F" stamped FSB are for fixed carry handles.   So you would want a Non-Stamped FSB for your build.
When Colt came out with the removable carry handle the rear sight was a tad higher.  So rather than redesign the removable carry handle, they just developed a taller FSB and stamped it with an "F".

I bought a non "F" marked FSB for my A2 clone not long ago from Fulton Armory.

Actually has to do with fixed vs removable carry handle, not barrel length.
