This has probably been asked a million time but what is the best drop in AR 15 set trigger which will allow me to go from 3 lbs to 3 oz . I also want a titanium firing pin in hopes to decrease lock time.  Please advise. Thanks

Wrong platform. No such animal exists in the ar world as far I've ever seen or heard.

Also. Ti firing pins don't work well in this platform and don't help Lock time enough to out weigh how often they snap.

The firing pin moves so little, it's a very small part of the ignition system.

Mil-spec triggers in AR's are the worst. Heavy, gritty, and slow.
If you want a nice AR trigger look no further then Geissele.

Many moons ago I had a set trigger in an Oly Super Ultra Match. It fired like a standard 4 lbs. trigger just like anything else, but if you pushed the safety back like you were trying to select the fa position on a 16, it would set the trigger down to as little as 3 ounces (depending on where you had the internal settings adjusted) had to be careful though bc pushing the safety too hard with the adjustment that light would fire the rifle without even touching the trigger. This was before the advent of all the new, high quality aftermarket triggers that are available, so there's really no reason not to get one of the proven ones unless you just need a stupid lightweight trigger. Wouldn't know where to begin the search for one though as I can't remember the name of the manufacturer.

Edit: Looks like it was probably a factory OLY trigger. Might start a search from there.

Stay away from Ti fireing pins, they are brittle and will deform.
They look cool but are not worth the problems they will bring.

There's a 3 oz pull trigger on the market? Am I missing a really big something?

Williams Trigger Specialties, the only set AR trigger I know of, and it's not drop in.
I believe that titanium is a poor, yet over hyped, choice of material for most firearm parts.

This has been my experience as well. The milspec materials have worked fine for me, so I see no reason to deviate from them.
