| I have never shot with a forward angle grip before so I have no idea if I would even like it or not. But I really like the look of the new Fortis Forward Angle grip. Before spending the $70 or so on it can anyone give me any input on forward angle grips? I am building a high end SBR with a 7.5" barrel and a 7" hand guard and have no idea if this sort of grip would benefit me. |

Well here is someone else's .02$:
I have used plain hand guards, verticals, and the AFG's. I prefer the AGF's. Firm grip on fore end and angles hand to reach pads for lights/laser et. Touch pad can be placed in the 11 o'clock position (slight hollow between rails) to be out of the way to prevent light ND. Keeps the hand closer to the barrel axis than VFG and for my "feel" preference. |

I like this one, smaller and I believe lighter than Magpul's.
For picatinny rails: http://www.lancotactical.com/product_p/ltgsm2.htm
There is also a keymod version: http://www.lancotactical.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LTGS ETA: There is a good video there that reviews numerous models of these kinds of things. . . |
