| Cheap doesn't mean much. I bought an inexpensive DPMS Sportical thinking I would build it into what I want. The darned thing has been flawless from day one and I like it just as it is so I'll leave it alone. If I decide I actually need a "Commando" type AR I will just build it from scratch and leave this one alone. Nice looking AR. Shoot and enjoy it. |
| Enjoy it. I have "cheap" ARs and high end ones. I probably enjoy the cheap ones more knowing that I did not pay an arm and a leg for them and that they still work great. I found out the hard way that buying the expensive parts and accessories makes sense if you have a specific need or purpose; otherwise they are just nice to have. |

Thank you for the reply I only hope it shoots as well as yours. I am pretty sure we will leave it as it sits now. Besides the Burris we only added the bipod. |

Nice rifle. I'm sure she'll love it. The Burris 332 is a nice scope. I have the 536 and I think I the reticle's outer ring is a little large but its been clear and I've not had any issues with it. Enjoy and happy shooting. I do agree the outer ring on this one is a bit thick also but we will get used to it. Thank you |

I think we will just use it for plinking and getting used to shooting this type of gun. We need to get out and try it soon the kids even are excited. |

Vince I was wondering if anyone would ask. It is a 67 Fairlane 500 289 4 speed and it is part of the reason why we can only afford a cheap AR15. Quoted:

The heck with the AR, tell us about the car it's sitting on. Vince Vince I was wondering if anyone would ask. A very expensive hobby for sure. No reason we can't enjoy old cars and guns though, is there? |

Hello This is my wifes new AR I know it is just a cheapie compared to most everyones here. However it is what we can afford. Just got the Burris AR-332 today. I must admit that it is very clear and it seems better then my Vortex Diamondback for clarity to my surprise. Havent been able to shoot it yet but will soon. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/fair67/002_zpsfbccf703.jpg It may be less expensive but I doubt that it is cheap. Congrats on your new rifle. I'm sure you will enjoy it. |

Sometimes we needed to shoot something when the car doesn't co operate. |

A 63 Fairlane is definately a nice car too and were pretty much the fastest back in the day. We have ammo and will shoot it soon. |

Cheap doesn't mean bad. I've seen cheap PTAC's run better a few big name AR's. Might not have been as accurate, but they ran everything thrown at them. You've got a nice looking rifle; run the hell out of it. Thank you I am just hoping it cycles my current ammo without problems. |

What're the issues that the Patrolman is having? And that is one sexy looking car. Very nice. The Patrolman has had no issues at all it has been excellent and shot every type of ammo that I have tried. My 2 daughters really like shooting it too they have probably shot just as many rounds through it as I have. I bought the new AR mainly for my wife but I am sure all of us will shoot it. I got it for a good price but just hope it shoots as good as the Bushmaster. |

And this is why you don't read internet forums after midnight shifts. I'm pretty sure that the new rifle will shoot just fine. I put mine together on a budget and she's only had issues with ammo that turned out to be out of spec because the person who gave me the ammo got lazy with resizing his brass. It cycled fine through the rifle, but if I wanted to eject a round that was in the chamber to clear it I had to beat the charging handle. That wasn't the rifle's fault though, and it still shot 2 MOA with that ammo. Give us a range report when you take her out. And more pics of the car with the rifles. |

It is ok I do the same thing mainly when it is late also a sign of getting old in my case. I havent shot the gun yet but I do have another picture. This is with the original hub caps on it because I had the car judged at a show and managed 93 out of 100 points. I had to go with hub caps to keep the car original for the concourse class. I also have a older engine pic we had just got the body good enough in primer. |

I have seen some very good sales on them lately also. Thanks. |
