| I have 2 colts. A 6700 which I purchased new many years ago and a 6721 which I purchased new about 6 years ago. I see post that mention colt 6721 and post that mention LE6721. Is there a difference? My Colt has LE markings. |

There is actually no model LE6721 the posters are probably just implying that it's a law enforcement series, the LE series started during the assault weapons ban as model AR6721 until now.
There were only about 134 old pre ban model R6721 without LE restricted markings on the right side magwell, there are a bunch after the 134 which are post ban that also didn't have the LE restricted markings. During around 2012 and after the factory removed the LE restricted markings. I have two of them, my first was a 2002 made with large FCG pins and my second was made in 2010 with small hammer and trigger pins, both had the LE restricted markings, they're great accurate carbines. |
