Just the plain jane no fwd assist or dust cover. Anyone own one and how does it stack up against the DPMS Oracle or M&P Sport? I just ordered  2 of them for $560 out the at my LGS and was wondering what you folks thought about these rifles.

One of the new guys on the SWAT team with me has one that he uses on duty.  Hes had close to 1000 rounds through it in a very short period of time and as far as i know hes had zero malfunctions.  I was pretty skeptical of them but his has held up very well

ETA:  I forgot about one instance where his receiver extension castle nut came loose.  A quick staking fixed that issue.  First time id ever seen that happen on a rifle

I have no personal experience with the DB but if I were spending my money, it would be on the M&P.  The M&P has a pretty solid and established reputation.

I'll never see why people would use an AR without a dust cover?

Been using semi auto handguns without them for many years without a single problem. Have never needed one on my AR. Everyone to their own opinions but to me - more do dads = more problems.

I buried an AR with the dust cover open in the AZ sand, then ran it over with my jeep while it was buried. It still worked.

Yeah but does anyone own a Diamondback DB15SB? how do you like it? I thought the price was right so I was doing a little prepping for the next panic by bumping up the inventory a bit. Reviews, anyone?

Sorry about that op, we got carried away. I do not personally own one but shoot with a friend that does and I have shot it. He also owns a DB15SHB. Both have been excellent guns. You won't go wrong with it.
