Ive been rollin with my primary rifle in the same configuration for quite a while now. Its not that I got tired of it by any means, but when you start stripping stuff off of your rifle you really start to realize how nice a handy and light boomstick really feels. I have a 16 inch midlength w a 13 inch quad rail and as of right now the only accessory on it is an Aimpoint and it is wonderful. All I took off was the afg2, surefire light and pressure switch but it made a world of difference. I tried a vfg and decided to stick with some lo pro rail ladders that were just sitting around and put them on @ 3 6 9 oclock and it feels more natural than the afg2. Think Ill keep it this way for now

If the accessories are that much of a difference you might consider hitting the gym......

If it isn't a range toy, it needs the light.  If it is a range toy... strip away.
