Just wondering if someone could give me an idea as to how purchasing this rifle would work out? I've read some threads here and articles on the net but all of them seem more geared to building an SBR and not buying a complete rifle. Any help appreciated.

Building an SBR requires you to file a Form 1 whereas buying a prebuilt one would require a Form 4 (the same form that most of us use when buying suppressors).  If you ordered the weapon from out of state (say from Sig or whorever) it would have to go to a local class 3 dealer on a Form 3 then they would transfer it to you on a Form 4.

While waiting for your Form 4 to be approved the dealer would keep possession of the rifle, or the lower at the very least.  Clear as mud?

More info can be found under Armory -> General Class 3, or Short Barreled Rifles.
