Is this for real? Or is this just some special ammo for the movie? What kind of flash surpressor would this be?

Just a flashy blank, the muzzle device looks like a standard birdcage.
Hollywood blank guns use an orifice insert or modified flash hider for more backpressure to cycle the action.
