[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Stealth grey

What's up with this color? Just the latest fad or is there some advantage to this? Blends in better with surroundings in low light situations maybe is just a guess. If so, why does this color work better than others?
I only ask because besides firearms and accessories, I've seen jackets, pants, etc.
What did I miss?

It blends in better with the concrete jungle. I don't know about you guys, but I sure as hell would be worried about my AR sticking out like a sore thumb at dusk in downtown Atlanta. With this new Stealth Grey color, I don't have to worry about such trivial matters any more.

I kinda like it. I'm not the biggest fan of the flat black but want something more subtle than FDE or FG. So it fits the bill. But with that said I'm not paying to swap all my furniture for the exact same stuff in a diff color.

ill admit i bought this, but just so my furniture matches my receiver. folliage doesn't go well with a black/grey color schemed AR imo

It's the second best color for all surroundings; ask the Germans. While not the best camouflage it works well over a wide number of environments while being cheaper than special colors and patterns.

and yea... itz probably the fad/rage thing now.

Stealth gray is the urban equivalent of ranger green or coyote.

Is not as big an indicator as black is.
