Hey fellas, I am working on a shirt barrel build and am looking for a good buffer. I am building a 10.3 Daniel defense sbr. I am looking for a good reliable combo of BCG and buffer. My question is given the limited gas circuiting through the gas system, is a semi BCG and lighter buffer better for this or what combination works well in this situation. Thanks guys

H or H2, but it's entirely dependent on what your particular set up likes the most. Every AR can be different. You'll have to play around with different buffer weights at the range to find out.

You might be surprised to find out that the "limited" gas circulation might not be a problem. What the problem might be is a little too much gas too soon. Seems that these type (AR's) systems are less finicky with more space between the bolt face and the gas port.

My second build like that has a adjustable gas port.

Hope you have a "carbine" gas tube, then start with H2 buffer.

And Yes... they all seem to be different (with a personality all their own) Good luck (tying Tula or cheap Wolf will be trying your patience).

Use FA carrier group and H3 buffer with standard spring.  Make sure you use quality ammo and stay away from the lower power stuff.
