Picked up my first AR about a month ago. Got a WW SRC chambered in 5.56. Did my research on what all I wanted to add and here's how it looks so far with a before and after. Parts added listed below.
href=http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz85/teenieluvsjesus/PhotoGrid_1394912029338.jpg" /> -Magpul stock. -Magpul fore grip. -Magpul trigger guard. -Magpul iron sights (Rear is regular front is the Pro.) -Midwest Industries SS G2 and low pro gas block. -Ergo pistol grip. Put around 500 rds through so far and shooting some more tomorrow. Having a blast w/no regrets! |

sell the MI 9" on the EE and buy their new Keymod version in 12.6" or 15" length, should not have to take the barrel off again, https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/images/products/ssk_keymod/sskff_12in_159.jpg See how it has 5 QD sockets for your sling? Keep s the weight down... Loose the VFG, pincer grasp it w/ thumb on top of the rail. Maybe grind the top rail smooth there your thumb goes. Add a flashlight (surefire G2 etc) in an offset flashlight (vtac etc) light moutn so it is at 1:30 (if you are right handed). You can just mount the light to the front of the 12 o'clock rail and put the front sight just behind that too keep the weight down. Also, get a milspec bolt assembly (from Bravo Co or SAW armament etc) and make sure your carrier gas key is staked and stake the endplate nut on the back. PM me if you need clarification. sell hte ergo grip and get either magpul K grip or a version of the BCM (bravo co) Gunfighter grip so you can shoot w/ your strong elbow tucked w/o having to bend your wrist so much. Next time, no need to get a M4 profile barrel, unless you have a 40mm laying around. A gradual continuous taper is better. That recommendation was so specific and convincing that I almost ran out and completed all of these modifications myself! |

I agree with ( almost ) everything you said one of the things I don't is the BCG because it already is FA, shrouded and tested from the factory ( although they are batch tested ) Link to the SRC specs if anyone is interested |

Grab an eotech or acog, a sling and a light and you're golden. Skip the keymod crap, and don't worry about your m4 barrel, Nothing wrong with it at all. |

Welcome and nice rifle .. :) Did you do the gas block swap yourself? If so, how hard was it to remove the WW railed gas block? TIA .. Yes I did it myself. It wasn't terribly difficult. The front pin came out nice and easy but the rear one took a bit of persuasion |
