On one of my rifles it has a clamp on gas block is it normal to have black carbon residue in front of the block after shooting?  The gun cycles perfectly.  I'm just wondering if I have the block a little to far back and some gas is escaping forward of the port

I notice blowby on some rifles...it will seal itself after awhile.

I have one that does this and continues to do so, but does it consistently so I haven't had issues.

Is yours adjustable or standard?
