Hello all... I'm needing some help with upper,I have a m&p 15 sport,I recently removed barrel to put on a free float rail and tweaked the reciver(yes dident use reciver vise blocks im very new to all this)....bolt was binding and wouldent slide as freely as I would like, but after some coaxing and cussing it moves actually better than new now,but another problem has come charging Handel is digging and draging, and just don't have peace of mind with the receiver knowing it was tweaked,is this receiver still safe to shoot or is new one needed,if so is there a affordable drop in replacement with no gun smithing required.. thanks guys

You can get a new stripped upper fairly cheap, and use the ejection port assembly, as well as the forward assist assembly, from your current rifle just by taking them off.  What you will need though are some proper tools to remove the roll pin from your current forward assist and mount the barrel/hand guard to the new upper receiver.

If it's bent/tweaked I'd buy a new one prior to shooting and pick up a receiver block

You need:

One of these  Sorry, gave you the wrong link, you need one of these

If you kept your upper on your lower when you tried to install the barrel, inspect your lower very carefully.  Pay special attention to the the area around where the pins slide (both front and rear).

Yeah I got that

Was curious about the tweaked areas you mentioned.

You can get an upper with M4 feed ramps and you can even get one with the forward assist and dust cover if you want.  Check Rainier, DSG, Spikes, primary Arms and just order a new upper and an armorers wrench.

Yes you can buy a complete receiver that has the dust cover and forward assist already on it,  then just add your parts to it.

Yes.

The barrel extension is on your barrel.  Unless you damaged it leave it alone
