I have bought stuff from Palmetto before but not DSArms. I am trying to choose between these 2 uppers but know nothing about them.

PSA

and

DSArms

when its all said and done they will be the same cost. I already have a PSA lowe built and 2 anderson lowers. Is the dsarms upper the same color as the PSA? How does it fit, is there slop? are they a good company to use?

Thanks

The cool kids will come along and tell you to get the PSA blemished upper with the 1/7 twist barrel.

I haven't done serious business with either company so I won't comment on them.

My opinion is to hold out for a 16" mid length gas system.

That's probably the one the cool kids will tell you to get.

The carbine length gas system works better with the 14.7" barrel.
The only downside is the flash hider is pinned to the barrel.  It's kind of a PITA to change if your so inclined.
Remember to spring for a bolt/carrier group too.

I'd still hold out for a 16" mid length in case I wanted to change it in the future.  YMMV
