I took my buffer apart as I questioned the weights. During reassembly I noticed that one of the rubber bumpers was of a larger diameter that the other two. Since it doesn't "rattle" now, I obviously have something wrong. I presume it is some made in China crap buffer. Can some one tell me if this is normal and if so, where in sequence does the larger bumper go. Thanks.

The bumper goes on the end that gets the pin through it. The little rubber pads go between the weights. Other then that I have know idea about what you are talking about.

I guess I shouldn't have used the word  "bumper" to describe them. I mean the rubber pads. Of the three, two have the same diameter and one is a little bigger. I think I'll just trim the larger one to the same diameter as the other two for now and then look for a new buffer.

I'd put the larger one in first. Then the other 2 can move back and forth. It's not something to worry about.
