What's with all the noobs having real nice ARs? Well, you did your homework, nice rifle. Everything is top of the line but why did you skimp on optics?

This was the optic I had on my AK. It's a place holder until I can get my hands on an Aimpoint. I'm leaning towards T1 so I can keep the weight to a minimum, but the price on the PRO is tempting. Ultimately, I plan to replace the Vortex and the trigger. From there I'll probably call it good. I don't like a lot of stuff. Simple is better.

The Vortex red dot is serviceable. Aimpoints are great. Mainly due to battery life.

OP's AR is very similar to mine.....but I went with a Primary Arms copy of the T-1.

Why? Because at the moment, I can't afford to pay $600 for a red dot optic. Although I'd love to have the authentic optic, I'm sure others would understand and may be in similar situations.

Nothing wrong with a PA optics or Vortex. I have a PA micro on one of my guns and am very impressed with it. I was just wondering what the reasoning behind buying accessories in the manner/order that he did, no judgement.

I re-took the pic just to get my shoes in the shot, so DOUBLE fail on me.
