I am new to building but not shooting. I bought a stripped lower during the recent gun hysteria and now i have some extra cash and need to build it. So, i read the sticky which covered rebuilding and modding the upper and wanted to make sure these parts would work together...

If i bought this...

And removed the old gas block for this low profile one...

Would this rail system install and function right?
https://www.primaryarms.com/Daniel-Defense-Omega-Rail-9-0-Black-p/dd-10002.htm

Im going for the long hand guard/rails look that ends right before the flash suppressor, would i need to get a different lenght handguard? Thanks for all the help.

EDIT, tried loading a photo but the army has blocked photobucket and embedding a photo with the onsite link didnt work with google images... I hope my description is clear enough.

I don't have a lot of experience, but I would think a 15" handguard would be more in line with the look you're after.

ETA: Not my thread, but here's a recent example.

ETA2: I'd be hesitant to use a long quad-rail handguard without justifying the need for the rail space. That's a lot of extra weight. I'd look into handguards like the Noveske NSR (as seen in the link above), the Midwest Industries SS15G2, etc. if rails aren't the primary concern.

Thanks for the response. So the 15" rail would mount over top of the low profile gas block with no issues.
