I recently purchased a Samson free float handrail from Optics Planet and selected next day air.  I ordered the product at around noon so I had expected it to ship and arrive the next day as was estimated (by them).  To my surprise I didn't receive the rail. The following day, still nothing, so I called and they told me that the item didn't ship, and it would get to me by Friday plus they would refund my shipping.  Friday comes along and still no package.  Again, I called costumer service and they told me that the item still hadn't shipped out because they had switched warehouses and were trying to get situated...I told him that I understand, but asked the why my "1 day air" package still wasn't in my possession 4 days later even with the warehouse change, and he told me that I was confused about what next day shipping really means and it didn't play out the way I had expected...ok, how did it play out I asked? He told me that when they refunded my shipping they also bumped me down to ground..I understand that with the refund they would lose money on shipping if they still sent it next day air, but if a company has the balls to take 4 days to ship a next day air package at least have the curtesy to still have it to me in a timely manner and not make me wait another half a week; I didn't just order it one day air because I don't like to wait..

Update: Despite the long wait, and some arguing, they are shipping it next day air again and gave me 10% off.

They  also have a sub forum in industry. Try working out your problems there..Dissing on a supporting dealer is frowned upon around here. Also you had your problem taken care of.

This is a golden rule of mine. If I order something and it absolutely has to be shipped that same day, I CALL them first thing in the morning to ask if it's in stock (despite "real time" online inventory) and order it over the phone as well insuring that it will be shipped out the same day since it's early AM and before the daily shipping cutoff time.
Next day air does not necessarily mean we'll pack your stuff this instant and get it going. That just means you'll get your stuff the next day whenever we get it out the door. Buying it before noon doesn't guarantee anything.

Welcome to the forum. You will find these guys have a "BIG Rule Book" and will bash you over the head every chance they get. They seem to forget that at one time EVERYONE here was the new guy.



Back on topic - Optics Planet is a "virtual" warehouse. Every item I've ever received has been drop shipped from the manufacturer or another vendor. Eventually the 2% or 3% I saved simply was not worth the hassle. .
