It seems most of the mk12 are Colt M16A1 or equivalent Vietnam issued lowers, refinished and set up with a match trigger, and slapped with the upper. My best guess is because Crane did most of these builds, surplus lowers were available to them. Now what about the PWS at Quantico? The majority of the SAM-R's I see are FN Uppers and Lowers, perhaps a Colt here and there, what has anyone on he seen?
I'm getting nearing to building my SAM-R and am wondering what would be more correct, Colt or FN? William P.s. I've taken my ambien for the night so I apologize for any...weirdness in here
