Haven't been able to find a Spikes upper for the price I want. Someone suggested that I look into getting this Core15 M4 MOE 16" Complete Upper. I can get it for $600.
I've been searching and haven't found very much about this company or about the quality of their product. Can anyone help fill me in? |

Ordered a complete rifle, a Core 14 MOE M4, through Buds just before Sandyhook. Nice rifle, all new and clean like it should be but had a 1:9 barrel instead of the advertised 1:7. They did give their UPS account info to send it back on and they returned it with the proper barrel BUT....
They were extremely difficult to get on the phone to the extent that one time I did get a person and they said they couldn't hear me and to call back, I called back not more than a minute later and got the receptionist after it kept ringing and she said the person I was talking to had left the building... WTF, tell me to call right back and you run out of the building??? Never, EVER, answered any of my e-mails. Not any of the ones I sent initially when I found the problem, none asking for status or receipt or shipping when I sent it back, or about questions I had after I received it back (see below). When I called and asked for status (after not getting answers from e-mails) I was flat lied to about it being fixed and missed the UPS pick up (missed it for the next few UPS pick ups too). Took a full week to swap uppers, I would say swapped barrels but that was too hard for them to do (see below). When I got it back it had a whole different upper on it that looked like a few?? hundred rounds had been shot through it. When I called to ask about this (after not getting answers from e-mails) they said they had test fired it. Yeah, for a few hundred rounds... NOT, I got a used upper. Now, after 11 months and a few hundred rounds I have put through it I do think I have a good weapon. If it had come with the correct barrel I would be extremely pleased. The only real mod is a SSA trigger. But I consider their service department a joke and their customer service very poor. They are a small independent trying to make a mark in a very specific market. This is hard to do and to do it right you have to have awesome customer service. They don't. Would I buy another one of their rifles, NO. OP, that looks exactly like the upper off my AR, actually I guess it could be...

| Ordered a complete bcg from them. Package came quick and everything looked good until I noticed there was no firing pin or retaining pin. Called them and they said they would fix the problem asap. A week later and still no firing pin. They also weren't the easiest to get a hold of. Fast forward two more weeks and two more calls I ended up just buying the parts. I just gave up on them and still never received the parts. |
