BCM upper
BCM BCG
BCM Gunfighter charging handle
Daniel Defense M4 rail (cut out for FSB)
Magpul CTR Mil-Spec
Tube from BCM
Blue sprinco action spring
H2 buffer from BCM
MBUS rear site

Surefire 6PX Pro

I used mostly ar15.com and some youtube videos to learn.
Had to buy most of the tools. Had to remove barrel and FSB to get rail on. Reinstall rail with torque wrench and Aeroshell grease.

I really tried to get everything right. I love her! Now I gotta get to the range, I have some ammo ordered and a case. I'll bring 223 and 556
to test with different pressures and I also have a standard carbine spring and buffer to experiment with if need be. http://

I'm shopping around for a soft case…

This mount was <$8 and works surprisingly well. Once I'm settled on the location I'll Loctite it. It should be fine.
That Surefire works great. You can cycle through 15 lumens and 320 lumens without clicking it on, all with the button, no turning, and you can do that with clicking it on as well, and only $80.

Thanks!

EDIT: Here is the mount… it gets good reviews… positions well and holds well… but at this price I'm waiting for it to explode. LOL. So far so good. If I were a SEAL or SWAT I might think twice. So, I'll keep an eye on it…

check out the voodoo tactical cases. I have a 36" soft case on order from them. holds I believe 12 magazines as well and fits 2 rifles.

my flashlight is the P2X with the vking tactical mount. same setup they put on the EAG. The flashlight is fine I just don't care for the mount.

The Voo Doo cases are great for the money. i got their 36 inch double rifle case. You can fit a lot of magazines in it. I haven't put in more then 8 at a time as usually i bring my 15-22 with the AR and 6 mags for that as well. Pluus targets, stapler, cleaning stuff, tools etc. Has held up great for the short time I have had it. I think I paid $80 at a local shop for it.

Sick

Seems everywhere i look there's a BCM. I'm about two seconds from ordering an upper myself. 16" middy or 14.5 pinned is my hang up right now

Keep certain things in mind if you order pinned… will you have to remove the FSB to get a rail on?  If so, the muzzle device will be in its way. A two piece rail would be better. But I got this 12 inch Daniel Defense for $169 so that affected other decisions.

I will say, now that I have a 16" barrel plus a 1.5 inch device, testing this out at home around tight corners… my next rifle will be a LOT shorter. To get around corners, I have to lower the muzzle a lot. Not good.

My primary purpose for owning this is to deal with home invasions. I carry a pistol CHL on the street, so I'm good there, but with home invasions being committed by up to 4 armed men… um, you better be ready with a serious rifle. Aside from that, I will enjoy this anyway… I really want to take a class, and do some high desert run and guns. Fun, fun, fun.

I think most 14.5 vs 16 end up being about 1.1 inches difference. FF rails don't appeal to me now but they might in the future, so, yea, the pinned kinda makes it difficult to change your mind or try different stuff w/o a pain in the ass

I'm rare that i like the 16 carbine look but now i've got this middy crap on the brain from reading so much about 16 carbine lengths not being optimal etc

Any other vendors have them? Id prefer to support a business that didnt try to rip off Arfcom dealers/customers with a price fixing scheme. [You know he's banned here for good reason right?]

Had no idea and don't even know who "he" is lol. But I wanted a BCM lower to have a genuine BCM rifle and not a mutt lol. GandR happened to have blemished lowers in stock.

AND in their defense it only has a microscopic scratch on it you can barely notice it was priced OK and they shipped extremely fast. I would buy from them again no questions asked. banned here or not.

I watched a complete BCM lower sell for 485 on gunbroker Monday.........

It came to around $1,000 to $1,100. Not counting mags, light, and tools.

I'm thinking to get a completed BCM like this would be about $1,500 or so.

I could've spent less by sourcing the upper receiver and barrel separately, (but not BCM receiver), but
I liked the idea that the barrel and receiver were mated, and tested together by a reputable company.

But maybe even that was not necessary.

The BCM upper was $459.00 without BCG and handle.

Though, I really wanted the gas block and barrel pinned together (this is), and I couldn't do that myself.

Now, if you get a bare barrel, get a low profile gas block, and get a front BUIS, the price is back up to where BCM with FSB is anyway…

Other than the A2 pistol grip I think it looks awesome, but it's all personal preference. I like that rail however.. makes me regret doing a low pro gas block and a flip front, I'm liking the A2 front sight posts combined with railed more and more every time I see them.

I don't like the radius or the angle of this grip. I'm getting the Magpul MOE K2 grip. Thicker, and steeper.

I have a Vikings Tactical sling coming tomorrow.

I used a Lower Parts Kit. I wish I would've just acquired everything separately. Get the grip you really want, get the FCG you really want, etc.. or you just swap it all out eventually anyway.

This particular DD rail is their older one. It doesn't have QD holes… but I found it on MidwayUSA for only $169. Half off a 12 inch DD rail typically. The rail attaches using a proprietary wrench, who no one sells anymore. I just used a strap wrench from Harbor Freight for like $5 or so. (You get a large and a small, will come in handy many times in the future.)

I like how this rail has a cut out for the FSB so it can extend further forward. I really need to get better pictures of my rifle. Here's a stock pic.

The sling attachment on the FSB would not fit under rail, and it was riveted on, so I cut it off with a Dremel.
