I have a Magpul aluminum and a Seekins. I like the looks of the Seekins the best. But they all serve the same purpose.

just my 2 cents.

I prefer my Magpul aluminum folding version enhanced trigger guard, but they don't make them anymore.

I like the one that came on my Bushmaster A2 clone. They all do the same thing so no reason to spend money on something not needed.

I'm sure this recommendation will receive some smack down.

I like the RRA winter guard for its simplicity and price.  All my Colts wear them.

Which of these has a spring loaded front pin like a standard trigger guard instead of a set screw like the mag pull?

I have a couple of MGI lowers with changeable mag wells. So I need a trigger guard I can disconnect at the front without tools.

I like my metal Magpul.

If I were to buy another I'd probably get the plastic Magpul. Good enough to get by, cheap enough to be worth the money. I don't see how a $30 trigger guard is worth it over a Magpul.

Whichever one you can get cheapest.

I have a few different ones.

The only advantage to an enhanced trigger guard is the look, IMHO.

Pick the one that you think is the coolest looking.

I'd get the plastic Magpul trigger guard for about 8 bucks. I don't see the sense in paying more for something that has the same function.

Why not create a poll?

Personally I like the aluminum Magpul. Feels sturdy and comfortable, provides good clearance for gloved hands and fills the gap between the grip and guard.
But no matter what you decide, do not use a punch to remove the roll pin. There is always the possibility of breaking the trigger guard ears.  Use a roll pin pusher or your only option could be the stark grip of shame.

I've had aluminum and polymer Magpul trigger guards and I prefer the aluminum version. Just feels sturdier and more durable to me.

I like Spikes. I believe it's the same as the Seekins just with different logos....could be wrong though.

I am partial to the Sully(CY6)/Territorial, Superior Arms still makes it in aluminum. Rock River's is identical.
There's plenty of room to work with in Minne-snow-tah, as we need it here.

I don't think it matters all that much but the fact is you need one. If you have gloves on the stock guard stinks, I know I carried an M16 in Germany for a year+ whatever while stationed there. One thing I hated about the rifle was the trigger guard. I think if I remember the thing to do was pop out one side and let it hang for artic weather, those gloves were huge. Even those horrible cheap black glove covers caused issues if you have fat fingers. Funny thing the green wool gloves kept you warm, as soon as you put on the black leather covers your hand got colder. But wear only the green part and some officer will jack you up, I had that happen, I want to spit in his face and tell him to stand guard duty while your hands froze for 4 hours.

Anyway from experience it doesn't matter, it doesn't get a lot of use. I would say whatever feels better to your hand. Some people are sensitive to touch and the texture of something can be annoying. Like the difference between a new GF and your ex-wife, to touch one is repulsive and other exciting.

I ended up going with a Spike's billet trigger guard on my latest build.  I'm digging the aggressiveness of it.  The Magpul aluminum always feels a little sloppy to me, though I like their polymer guards.

I almost ordered the Strike Industries one, but I'd like to see it in person first.

After using these roll pin less trigger guards I'm done with trigger guards that use roll pins.

Magpul polymer. It's plastic so it remains comfortable in the elements, doesn't have any sharp uncomfortable edges like some of the aluminum ones do, it works as a gapper, is available in multiple colors, and is dirt cheap.
