Hello, I am installing a Geissele trigger and was needing to know if it matters which way the trigger pin goes in. I know the spring sits on top of the trigger pin but the directions doesn't say what side of the receiver the cutouts on the pin goes.

It's kinda like dating in San Francisco.  If you can't tell, it doesn't matter.

The trigger pin can go in either way. One leg of the hammer spring will engage the slot in the pin -- either on left side or right side.

So your saying that only 1 leg of the spring sets in the groove on the pin and it doesn't matter what side the groove is on that the spring sets in. Right or Left side. so the pin CAN'T be installed incorrect.

Correct.  I'm assuming that you pins have two slots -- one in the middle and one closer to one end.  The slot that's closer to the end will engage the hammer spring leg on either side.

Yes it has one in the middle and one close to the end. I just wasn't sure what side the slot went on. Thank you very much for the info.

I always tap mine in from the Right side to the Left. Looking down at the top or the lower.
I'm Right handed so my little hammer is in my Right hand. Just seems natural to me.
But it really doesn't matter at all
