| What can y'all tell me about them? I'm considering my options to free float my 26" upper. |
| They look like a standard rifle length handguard to make the rifle legal for CMP, SRS and National Match matches. Also, it will have the swivel posts mounted to the tube, so you don?t put pressure on the barrel. I have a DPMS set on my SRS rifle. It is solid and did tighten up my groups some when using s sling. |

Are you limited to the A2 handguards that come with it or will it work with MOE or other handguards? I was considering using the DCM tube with wood furniture. Too many ways to do this

Too many ways to do this ![]() I've seen it done with the MOE. Easier with the corn cob esp. when they come already fitted (prepped) with some kits. These tubes will have differences between mfrs. One notable is how the sling lug is done. Some are cantilevered forward to orig. position and some are straight down. The cantilevered type have a direct effect on what you can use for a gas block (read DCM A-frame FSB) The vertical type are out of the way of the gas block but require more fitting of the handguard. |
| The only reason people run the DCM tubes is because they have to look like issue rifles to compete in "service rifle" classification. They are heavy and provide no cooling or rails. Your 24"/26" barrel precludes you from competing with that upper anyway. A match rifle tube is what you want or any make/model free float tube. The CMP under handguard tubes are the hardest to install for the home gunsmith. |
