So I took two carbines out today for their first shoot. A SW m-p, and a frankenrifle I built.
I put a mag of lake city through each with no troubles.
Next I let my girl shoot a mag of LC through the frankenbuild, and she's bumpfiring. I get jealous because I can't bumpfire.
So I load a mag of WPA 62 grain into the frankenbuild, and proceed to unload it almost FA. This while fun, is NOT good.
The SW had one ftf with the WPA, aside from that, it was flawless.
Anyone got any advice on the frankenbuild?
Its an RGuns lower
Old school Colt upper w/ carry handle
CMMG LPK
Windham fa bcg
Bushy barrel
Magpul ctr stock.
Any advice appreciated. I was on private land today, but Sunday I'll be at a public range, and I don't need any aggravation. Thanks in advance...

Take the FCG out and make sure it has a disconnector spring installed, and that the spring is installed right side up.

Because he and his girl had fun with the guns they own?

Forum snobs, don't appreciate the pure fun of shooting faster than everyone else. Sometimes you just don't need a good reason. 'Murica.

I am also thinking this is your problem. Disconnect or spring should go large coil down to hold it in the housing.

Are all the lower parts new?

Also sounds like fun, I might leave it alone!

If gun double-fires/fires full auto afer checking the Disconnect spring I'd immediately take apart fire control group.

What about a function check? No one? Pretty sure this would reveal a disco problem. Maybe I'm just paranoid for function checking ALL my firearms after any mods or before shooting them. Worth the twenty seconds or so if you ask me.
